For the Information Literacy course at Valencia College, I assisted in the creation of a fake website called "Obesity-B'-Gone" which used several examples of questionable claims designed to be evaluated for veracity. I came up with a fake diet pill and also posed for the pictures of "Dr. Eduard Hall." The module has since been replaced at Valencia but it is still in use at Santa Fe College in Gainseville, Florida.
Using spelling errors, poor overall design and loads of questionable unsourced claims, this site challenges students to evaluate the trustworthiness of the information contained in it.
